When the world went online and in-home in the spring of 2020, GLAAD launched #GLAADHangouts to take our celebrity interviews off red carpets and into the homes of hundreds of thousands of supporters worldwide. As an ongoing production of Instagram Live conversations, the #GLAADHangouts series consists of thought-provoking and impactful dialogues between GLAAD and notable guests, influencers, and community leaders who are working to create greater LGBTQ representation and accelerate LGBTQ acceptance.

During a time when the digital content market is more saturated than ever, the #GLAADHangouts series stands out and continues to expand its brand recognition. #GLAADHangouts is an opportunity to continue to garner support for the LGBTQ community and connect to our diverse and inclusive community of 418K+ Instagram followers.

In this special Pride Month #GLAADHangout, we explore how men—particularly Black and Latinx men—can reclaim their health through prevention, education, and self-advocacy. From his clinical experience at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to his new book “The Men’s Preventive Health Guide”, Dr. Moore shares practical tools and empowering insight for staying ahead of preventable disease.

This conversation centers health equity, community care, and how knowledge is the first step toward liberation.

In celebration of #BlackMusicMonth, this candid and moving #GLAADHangout highlights the power of Black queer artistry—from Nina’s soulful, spirit-driven music rooted in her Southern upbringing to Damez’s fierce commitment to authenticity and self-empowerment through visual storytelling and sound.

The two dive into how music can be a tool for healing, resistance, and liberation—reflecting on their lived experiences, artistic influences, and the importance of joy in the face of adversity.

This is a love letter to Black music, queer resilience, and creative freedom.
